Soccer is an English word, from England, it's an abbreviation.
The Yanks only started using it because they invented a new sport called 'football' and we had been using 'soccer' a LONG time before that.

I think the word "deluded" is thrown about far too much these days, but I'm really struggling to think of a more subtle yet accurate word to describe how West Ham fans think other clubs fans view them.
